About KAM323
I am Kimberly, an artist named KAM323, and art has always been my passion. I've chosen mixed media as the method to create my art pieces. The specific technique I use is a method called Tradigital Collage Art. The process uses traditional art combined with digital elements.
Growing up in Eatontown, NJ, I loved visiting museums and art shows. Early on, I knew art was on my path. I had many encouraging influences growing up. One was my older sister, who liked to draw in her free time. I loved her work and wanted to create art like her. I started with ceramics first, and my work was published in Scott's Ceramics magazine several times. Then, I moved on to pottery and Raku. But still, I needed something more. I met several artists who awakened my art interests further. These NJ artists helped give me the confidence to keep practicing and creating. I listened to their ideas and suggestions, allowing me to develop my own style. In the late 1990s, I got a big break, and I started creating dinnerware and art decor pieces that sold in different venues in NYC, including Macy's on 34th Street.
One day, I woke up and decided to create some small paintings, and from there, I grew into the artist I am today. My work is currently being displayed across Europe in various galleries from Switzerland to Spain.
My artwork includes various items, including wall decor and functional pieces. My creative expression is inspired by everyday life with a bit of whimsy to add some interest to home decor. I desire my pieces to draw an individual into my art, encouraging them to think about the art and how they feel when seeing it.
I've made it a goal to "add a lil art to someone's day" every day.
